Public Insurance Adjusters

The District of Columbia Insurance Laws allow for the licensing and regulation of public insurance adjusters.  Interested parties may apply for such a license by going to nipr.com. Applicants for public adjusters are required to submit a copy of the contract for proposed use in the District of Columbia and a $20,000 bond. You may obtain the Bond Form by following this link. Company and Independent adjusters are not required to obtain a DC insurance license.
